Can a Register.it Hosting be linked to a WebSite site?

This can be done but contents uploaded via WebSite will not be visible online anymore and all WebSite features will switch to the ones that come with the selected Hosting. Previous settings can still be restored by performing a DNS change for each space: go to your Control Panel, select your domain then click on 'DNS management and configuration' (Domain section), then click on the “Set as Primary Hosting” button.

I purchased the WebSite Starter Pack but I would like to upgrade to the next version. What shoul I do?

Go to your Control Panel and click on the domain linked to WebSite. Under 'Upgrade to WebSite Professional' click on ORDER.

Is there any way I can try WebSite before I buy?

You are welcome to try a 10-day, no-purchase obligation free trial of WebSite Starter. Once the trial is over the site you have created will remain visible for 4 more days, while your settings and all contents you have added will remain available to you on your Control Panel for a further 30-day period. What is WebSite?

WebSite is an application to create and manage your website easily and fast even with no specific technical competence: just choose the layout you like, add texts, photos, videos, audio, Google maps and publish your site in a matter of minutes.

What WebSite versions are available?

WebSite comes in Packs or standalone versions. Packs are available as Starter, Professional and Premium. Each Pack comes with everything necessary to fully create and manage a website: a domain, hosting, email accounts and the WebSite application. The standalone version features the WebSite application only and is aimed at customers who already own a domain name maintained on Register.it

I purchased the WebSite standalone and now I’d like to link it to a different domain than the previous one I linked it to. What do I have to do?

Go to your Control Panel and click on the domain linked to WebSite. Under 'Domain change' select the new domain to link WebSite to on the dropdown menu; alternatively, you may also link it to a new simply-website subdomain by adding its name in the dedicated field.

What happens when I link a WebSite-created site to a domain where a Register.it Hosting was activated?

In this case the Hosting features will be deactivated and the WebSite site will become visible online. The previous settings can still be restored by performing a DNS change for each space: go to your Control Panel, select your domain then click on 'DNS management and configuration' (Domain section), then click on the 'Restore initial configuration' button.

What happens when I link a WebSite-created website to a domain with a pre-existing website?

Contents that were uploaded via FTP and featured on the pre-existing website will not be deleted; but only the site created with WebSite and its contents will now be visible online.
The previous settings can still be restored by performing a DNS change for each space: go to your Control Panel, select your domain then click on 'DNS management and configuration' (Domain section), then click on the “Restore initial configuration” button.
