Does the space occupied by the Urchin statistics records count for the sum of the space used by my files?
No, it doesn't.
How can I interpret the values that I find in the record generated from webalizer?
Your site’s statistics are generated from Webalizer, a very popular program that was however not developed by Register.it. To correctly interpret the data analysed by the program, visit the official website: http://www.mrunix.net/webalizer/webalizer_help.html
Why should I activate the http access log file copies?
Linux hosting solutions allow you to activate the file log copies. Usually, this is made to analyse the files by using the preferred statistics processing software. We recommend the most expert users activate this option.
Does the space occupied by the Webalizer statistics records count for the sum of the space used by my files?
Yes it does, but you can delete the old log files and recover some disk space. Click on 'Manager File' in the Hosting section of your control panel, select the log files you want to delete and click on 'X'.
Is any statistics service included in your hosting solutions?
Yes, every hosting packet includes statistics generation with webalizer, an incremenatl statistics service that will allow you to monitor the hits to your web pages.
How can I access the webalizer statistics?
These statistics can be viewd by accessing to:
www.nomedominio.ext/stats/webalizer
How can I interpret the values that I find in the statistics record generated from Urchin?
Urchin is equipped with a complete guide integrated in the consultation interface.
The webalizer statistics are activated for my space, but I can't see them. Why?
The records have probably not yet been generated. The first statistics record will be generated after about 48 hours of their activation.
How can I access the urchin statistics?
You can access through your control panel from the statistics section and by following urchin's consultation link.
What difference is there between http logs and graphic format statistics?
Log files are text files that need to be processed through a statistics interpretation software, whereas graphic files have already been processed by a software we use.
How can I activate the statistics?
Linux and Personal Hosting: the statistics are deactivated by default. To activate them, access the ‘Manage your Hosting’ section of your domain and select ‘Statistics’. Webalizer statistics occur daily and you can choose whether to view them in a graphic format, as a log copy in your folder/log of your web space or via email. You can access statistics visualisation by clicking the link indicated in your control panel from the next day after their activation.
Windows Hosting: the webalizer statistics generation is active by default and cannot be deactivated.
With what hosting solutions can I enable and save the http server access logs?
For now only with the Personal and Linux Hosting solutions.
