- The value field is freely editable. This means that external hosts can be freely inserted, but does it also mean that it is possible to create A records associated with a host instead of an IP Same thing for the C-NAMES that might be created as associated with an IP. Does this represent a syntax error?
- Can I configure a third level MX to manage addresses such as: info@mail.nomedominio.ext?
Does the zone get overwritten only if all the configurations are correct?
Yes, it gets overwritten only when no errors are encountered, otherwise the previous configuration remains valid.
What is DNS Full Management?
It is the DNS advanced management interface that allows all ADVANCED USERS to freely and autonomously manage their DNS record configurations, the most advanced ones included, by importing or exporting it from local. A control tool alllws you to correct the wrong set up.
Can I create MX with the same priority and make them direct to different servers?
Yes, you can create for instance two MX 10 and make them direct to different servers, but, considered that the servers must be in contact with each other in order to make the service work, it is in this case impossible to indicate Register.it mail server as one of the servers and thus use out mailboxes.
can i create MX with priority over 40?
Yes, you can. You can create MX with priority of up to 80, in addition to the level that should respond to every possible need.
I have a domain but I am not using Register.it DNS. Can I use DNS Full Management?
No, the service can only be used on domains on which our DNS have been set up.
Can I create the same A record and make it direct to different IP (round robin)?
Yes, you just need to create the two A records and specify different IP in the value.
How can I purchase it?
The DNS Full Management feature is free and included in the domain maintenance service.
Can I create C-NAME and make them direct to records external to the domain?
Yes, you can.
Can I manage the reverse lookup?
No, it is not yet possible to manage it. Our clients will be informed as soon as the service is available.
The value field is freely editable. This means that external hosts can be freely inserted, but does it also mean that it is possible to create A records associated with a host instead of an IP Same thing for the C-NAMES that might be created as associated with an IP. Does this represent a syntax error?
In the case of external hosts set up, yes, it does represent an error, because records of the A type cannot have a host in the value, but only an IP address. CNAMES can actually have IP addresses or host names, even though the correct way of using them is with the IP address.
Can I configure a third level MX to manage addresses such as: info@mail.nomedominio.ext?
Yes, you can create it, but on external mail servers other than Register.it's, because our mail server is no longer managing mails on third level domains.
